Discipline is an integral part of the school culture. The School encourages self – discipline that arises from within and remains throughout life. Some general rules of discipline to be followed are:

  1. Students should keep their hands back while talking to elders.
  2. Students should speak only in English with the school authorities and schoolmates.
  3. Students should not interrupt when their teacher is conversing with other teachers or students.
  4. While talking to elders and teachers, the students should not keep their hands in their pockets.
  5. During recess time, students shall not sit in the classroom for having lunch unless instructed by the school
  6. Students of higher classes should help the younger students.
  7. Students should bring only healthy breakfast. Avoid oily food as it is not good for health and will also spoil the bag.
  8. Celebration of birthdays, distribution of chocolates and gifts are not allowed within the school premises.
  9. Littering of ground, corridor and classroom is a punishable offence.
  10. Students should be only in school uniform whenever they are in the campus and whenever they are representing the school in Inter-School Competitions.
  11. While going to the Assembly, PE classes, Craft, Drawing, Computer or when changing classrooms they should keep to the left and go silently in a single line, without disturbing the neighbouring classes.
  12. Pupils are expected to keep the school premises clean. They are forbidden to write or scribble on walls, throw paper or ink about the classroom or in any way to damage the school properties. Any such act will entail punishment and recovery of cost.
  13. Regular attendance, alertness in mind and body, prompt completion of homework, obedience and respect towards teachers and other members of staff, gentle and polite behaviour are expected of every pupil. They are responsible to the school authorities for their conduct both inside and outside the school.
  14. Students should be neatly dressed and enter the campus only in proper school uniform at all times unless instructed otherwise. Student ID card should be worn at all times while in school.
  15. Students should remain within the school campus during school hours and not venture out on any pretext. Adequate snacks and stationery should be brought.
  16. Mobile phones , camera , radios or any other gadgets are strictly prohibited inside the school premises
  17. Students of standard 11 and 12 who are commuting from faraway places are allowed to carry a simple mobile which should be submitted in the school If confiscated from the students neither the mobile nor simcard would be returned.

The following disciplinary measures will be adopted by the school in dealing with the students who do not adhere to the rules and regulations.

  • Oral warning and counselling
  • Written warning
  • Rustication
  • Expulsion
  • Any damage to the school property will be deducted from the caution deposit. If the damage exceeds the deposit amount, parents will have to bear the losses.

The school expects the students to behave appropriately. Appropriate behaviour includes :

  • arriving at school on time in proper uniform
  • attending all classes regularly and being in class on time
  • being polite during interaction
  • having a good work ethic
  • showing respect for oneself and for others
  • working collaboratively and cooperatively
  • taking responsibility for one’s actions or inactions
  • following the school’s dress code
  • bringing required materials to class
  • completing assignments and projects on time
  • defending the rights of others
  • respecting school property, one’s own property and also of the others
  • acting in the interests of the school
  • avoid bringing electronic gadgets

These expectations apply when students are on school grounds or are at a school-sponsored activity/event.

Each student has the right to develop his/her abilities to the fullest; to be respected as an individual; and to have appropriate and effective means of expressing his/her opinion. Each student is expected to accept the responsibilities that are implied by those rights.

To protect these rights, the student is committed to :

  • the prevention of bullying and violence
  • the elimination of discrimination based on culture, race, gender, disability
  • the acceptance of differences

A student who is experiencing difficulties in following any part of this Code of Conduct is encouraged to discuss these difficulties with the Class Teacher / Principal/ Parents.

  1. Students should maintain neat and healthy habits. School uniform should be ironed properly, nails should be trimmed, shoes should be polished and hair combed Nail art, application of colourful nail polish, different hair styles and use of colourful hairpins are prohibited.
  2. Suede shoes, boots, fashion shoes and sneakers are not part of the School Uniform.
  3. Hairs: Hairstyles are to confirm the following guidelines:
    • Hairstyles should be natural, neat and conservative.
    • Hair must be kept tidy throughout the normal activities of a School day.
    • Unnatural colours or extreme colouring or streaks and patches of colour are not permitted.
    • Girls’ hair should not be kept open and must be clear of the face and eyes.
    • Plain ribbons and clips may be worn by girls to contain long hair.
    • Long hair must be dressed up or tied back.
    • Boys’ hair must be well clean off the face and not below the top edge of the collar.
    • Sikh boys must tie their hair in black turban.
    • Shaved or extreme styles are not permitted.
    • Failure to comply with the hair regulations may result in a student’s suspension until the situation is rectified.
  1. Class monitors should check cleanliness of the students and report to their respective class teachers.
  2. Students should bring a cloth / napkin to clean their hands after wash.
  1. All students of the school are the members of the library.
  2. Silence should be maintained in the library.
  3. Students of classes VI to XII can borrow one book at a time for a week using the card.
  4. Library books can be issued and returned only in the library period of the respective class.
  5. Library books should be taken care of and returned on the due date.
  6. If the librarian notices mishandling of books like marking, underlining, cutting and tearing of pages, disciplinary action will be taken against the student.
  7. Text books, reference books, journals and periodicals will not be issued.
  8. The librarian may recall any book in case of urgency.
  9. Library books should be returned atleast a week before any break and a month before any vacation.
  10. A ‘No Due Certificate’ is to be obtained from the librarian while withdrawing a student from the school.
